The 16th ESSSB (16th European Symposium on Suicide and Suicidal Behaviour) will be held from September 8th to September 9th in Oviedo (Spain). Several Members of the Wiener Werkstaette will be part of it and will present their research studies in form of different symposia and poster-presentations. proposals deadline is on March 31th.

Im Rahmen des XII. International Congress of the International Federation of Psychiatric Epidemiology (IFPE) zwischen 16.-19. April 2009, fand in Wien ein Symposium der Wiener Werkstätte zu aktuellen Ergebnissen der österreichischen Suizidforschung statt.
Die Suizidologie nahm einen beachtlichen Anteil an den Beiträgen des Kongresses ein, unter anderem kamen Suizidforscher wie D. Gunnell (University of Bristol), A.T. Cheng (Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan), L. Mehlum (University of Oslo), E. Mittendorfer-Rutz (Karolinska Institut), W. Rutz (University of Coburg, Germany) und viele andere nach Wien.
